As summer nears, we often think about how to protect ourselves and our loved ones from harmful sun rays, acknowledging the need for sunscreen during prolonged outdoor activities. But what about indoor protection? Sun rays can enter your home or office through standard window glass. Yes, sitting near windows in a home or an office can increase your risk of skin cancer because UVA rays can pass through glass. While UVB rays are largely blocked by glass, UVA rays, which contribute to premature skin aging and skin cancer, can penetrate. Thus, even indoors, you can be exposed to UV radiation.
Did you know that the majority of window films provide approximately 99% UV protection, and the Skin Cancer Foundation endorses 3M films? Window films are a great option for protecting both you and your family, as well as the interior of your home and its furnishings. Ensure your safety both indoors and outdoors!
